Is it bad if you shave too early? I'm 15 and I have a little hair above my lip (not quite a mustache) and i hate it. i want to shave it off but my mom said not to because it will will mess up my skin in that area. is this true?

I'm sure it's neither. It feels like it because when you shave you've cut it off at the root and you're left with thick stubble. If you let it grow out it will just soften up again. Plus, if it were true, the more you shaved the more facial hair you would grow in a shorter time and that's not the case.

What the fuck guys? Half of you haven't started shaving and your 15 and 16 years old? Shit I'm turning 16 in January and I've been shaving since the summer of grade 8. Shaving's nothing bad, if you have a lot of acne around your face though you might cut it open shaving.

Also no shaving won't wreck your skin, it's perfectly normal to be shaving at 15. A friend of mine can grow a full beard in just a week or so and he's only 16, it's kind of disturbing actually.

Sorry to rain on your parade stinkingfish but I'm definitely not an Arab. Too bad though, also I don't know about you but almost all of my friends here are shaving. A lot of people shave while there 14-17, just not everyday.

Graffeedy if I could posi you I would. Beards are the sickest thing ever. Actually facial hair in general, except dirt staches and moustaches. I hate both. Oh well, I predict by the summer I'll be able to start growing side burns, chin hair all that jazz.

Oh guys I have a question for everyone on here whos shaving. Do you guys just shave your facial hair around your moustache area or do you guys shave everywhere. Example: Sideburns, chin, around the bottom of your next etc.

Lil T
01-02-2009, 11:32 PM
I had a full on moustache and goatee. But I shaved them off because I look back on my pictures when I had short hair and realized I looked like a douchebag. I've have peach fuzz since grade like 4-5 and it grew into a noticeble moustache, goatee game grade 8-9.

Now i'm smooth, but everyone at school hated it, I like it. So much better, fuck 'em.

I'm lazy as well but I went to school one day and my friend asked if I shaved. I said usually every couple of days.

Then I noticed I didn't shave that day and was like "Fuck I have a dirt stache don't I". So now I basically shave every two days.

no it wont mess up your skin, use shaving cream?
also the more you shave the thicker and faster it grows back

dirt staches ONLY look good if they aren't the beginning of puberty

and yes i have seen a lady with a beard, a few sadly. One time this one walked in the mall and im pretty sure my liver exploded at sight. She had like this massive, im talking field crop massive, wisker patch under her chin, and only under that was the only place....

I remember you posting some sort of game with your face on it and crazy eyes that follow you when you move your mouse around, dunno if that was you for sure though.

Vivica
01-03-2009, 08:46 AM

However... my facial hair is thin as hell because i shave as little as possible... There are kids 5 years younger than me with thicker facial hair.

Vivica
01-03-2009, 08:51 AM
BASICALLY... what this comes down to is 2 very plain cut issues.

1. Do you mind having to shave every couple of days by the time you're 16?
2. Do you care what people think of your appearance?

If your answers is "no, and yes" then shave, if its not, then don't.
I think that's fairly simple.

you are wrong. proof on the national geographic channel. its all in your dna. plus i used to shave quite a lot(except recently cause i cant be fucked anymore) and my hair is still really really thin. however the fact that 70% of my bear is light ginger, almost blonde while my hair is dark brown is fucked up. as i said-its all in your dna.....

20thCB

I would honestly say that those kids are just crazy. I shave everyday - but during this break I shaved once and ended up with a decent goatee but nothing else. It was the same case last winter break. I shaved at least 300 times between this year and last.

That whole shaving grows hair back faster thing is a myth. if you have a lot less facial hair than people 5 years younger than you, you just have genetics that don't grow a lot of facial hair.

Hmm...

I think a study needs to be done.
We all need to have kids and force one of them to shave loads...
