I've never tried out an almost deck.
From experience element didn't really cut it for me, but it's mainly a matter of preference and opinion than anything else. I'd go with anything that you feel comfortable with.
I've tested zero decks and i've got the single skull atm, it's surprisingly tough for it's weight, neat concave but the pop is something really worth mentioning.

yeh almosts are pretty good but i think they razortail a bit quick. im trying a toy machine right now and their sick.

Get an enjoi lightweight, nice pop, durable and they have sick designs the next one I am getting looks like this

i dont really like almost at all. anything from dlx is good real, krooked, anti hero. girls and chocolates are great also. and toy machine. but what are you looking for? durability, shape?

foundation's are good and on ebay u can buy 2 for 58 which is almost whole sale

I have an almost right now and have had for about 2 months.
It has been razortailed for the last month but for some reason hasn't chipped even though I expected it to ages ago.

I used to hate the idea of having a zero board, but after purchasing one off pat dandy himself for 50 bucks i have fallen in love.
zero (L) best board i have ever have, tommy sandoval after life concave 8.125 baby

Don't get an almost I had one and it was cheap and the tail had no pop, but the nose has ultra pop. Weird ass shape
