I personally prefer no risers, I think it's just what you end up riding first you get used to them and then continue riding it because it feels normal/good.
Never used em never liked em

dont use
i dont understand why people dont use them, like use some rubber ones, its easier on your board, and less wheel bite chance-depends on wheel size, i voted toward using them. Why not?

if you have wheels that are bigger than 54 millimeter you wanna have risers so the wheels don't hit your board-big no no

the point is to not have your wheels hit your board and if your wheels hit your board you will get a boo boo

iknorite?
It was like 2 pieces of leather that they used as risers. I have no idea why they would do something like that. My friend found that board in the woods one day and showed me.

For smaller boards you definitely don't want riser's because it will take more for you to get the tail to the ground for popping because the tail and nose are higher off the ground.
For bigger board's yeah you'll wan't riser's so you can get more pop out of them because if your tail is on the ground you can't pop it sufficiently so yeah.
Riser's are not needed get bigger wheel's instead.

I have always skated with risers.
I think it makes no difference.
Just a mental thing.
