I know that bearings and a good deck make a difference, but do trucks and wheels matter? Of course it matters if you have a wheel with a huge flatspot or wonky trucks, but if your trucks and wheels are perfectly fine, just not a very decent brand, does it matter?

Well technically yes and no. it depends on the individual.

If you're used to those trucks then no it wouldn't make a difference for you, but if you're not used to the trucks, than obviously it would matter. Wheels are a different case. In my opinion, wheel brands don't make a difference. Most wheels will get flat spots sooner or later. Remember, the strongest point is only as strong as the weakest points.

To keep it short and sweet, it matters a lot.

Trucks matter because you become familiar with the height and width of hangar. ALso the turning circles.

Wheels matter due to size and hardness. Doing drifties on sticky wheels are hard.

trucks and wheels matter more than than decks and bearings.. I dont even pay much attention to decks or bearings. trucks and wheels though, I'm agro if I dont get what I want.

I nearly agree.
I'd rate it-
trucks
Deck
Wheels
griptape
...

bearings
hardware

Bearings really don't matter as long as they aren't making an annoying noise. I've tried really expensive really fast bearings, I find them annoying if anything. The slip outs are unnaturally unfair.

Trucks are everything, I wouldn't know where to begin correcting the idea that trucks don't matter...

find the brands you like. and are "good" in your opinion.

price doesnt mean anything, like some shiny new exclusive material truck may be a zillion dollars. but chances are it'll skate no better than anything else.

just find a solid brand of everything you like.

trucks and wheels matter alot
i think trucks and bearings matter most though. the board, if anything matters least of all of it.
you need good trucks thta you can be comfortable with, and that will work well, and you need good bearings to be able to roll well. shitty bearings, wont let you go no where

thats due to the hardness of the wheel harder they are the slippier they are
really trucks are sort of personal choice i wouldnt spend £1 on trucks coz they would fall apart really easy but mid range trucks are ok try a few out on ur mates board my current 1s are £7 and ive had them a couple of months never gonna change they own as for wheels blanks are really the way to go its only hardness and size that affect them really and thats all down to your skating style so my advice try things out find your own preference your an individual not a clone
