Well, one of the strings on my 12-string acoustic just broke, and I don't have replacements, so I temporarily converted it to a 6-string. Anyway, I remember my cousin had some weird strings on her guitar, where the E, A, D, and G strings almost seemed like they were made out of some kind of black plastic, but they felt amazing and were easy to play, and also sounded better than my strings (of course it could have been the guitar). Well, now that I'm basically playing a 6-string, I wanted to get some of those strings for myself, but I don't know what they're called. Does anyone know what kind of strings they might have been?

That's what I thought, but I can't find the black ones she had.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just read that I can't put nylon strings on a steel string guitar. Dammit.

They do make different colored ones, it really doesn't affect the sound.

A local luthier who fixed my acoustic and builds custom guitars had all kinds of multicolored strings on classicals.

I got nothing to do today so I'll look around.

Also, if it's not classical, don't put nylon on it.

Dammit. It's not classical. :-(

It's a Sigma 12-string acoustic.
