Ok, here's my situation.

The setup I have was for street skating I used to do at home. Its a 7.65 deck, Tensor LOWS, some risers, and 50mm PlanB wheels (pretty hard).

Now, a few days ago, I moved to UC Santa Barbara, but im finding out its too hard to get around the campus with these wheels, since the streets are real bumpy. Theres also a lot of cracks on certain parts of school, as well as lots of little shit that fall from trees and whatnot.

Well, im about to but some Bones Soft Core wheels (no, not STFs. As great as they might be, they dont fit what I need in this setup), but im not sure as to what size to get.

SHoudl I go with 56mm, or 60mm? Im pretty much gonna stop street skating and use this solely for transportation.

Nowm I have Tensor Lows w/ risers right now with 50mm wheels. Here are some pics to show the clearance I get with them (I have the trucks mid-loose).

Here's pics showing the clearance:

Now, here are some pics of me fully standing on the edge as I were if i was to turn. heres the clearance on that (I obviously dont get wheelbite):

Now, given that I have mid-loose Tensor Lows, would you reccomend the 56mm, or the 60mm? I wanna get teh smoothest ride possible, and that would be with teh 60mms, but im not sure how much wheelbite i'd get.

Well, the only OJs within my price range I found are harder and smaller than the Bones SOft Cores, which would kinda defeat the purpose of picking the OJs over the BSCs.

Yeah, it was between teh Ricta Clouds and the Bones Soft Cores.

I decided to go with the SOft Cores since they were cheaper. hah. Went with the 60s.

Thanks guys!

I actually recommend a real long board. Otherwise 60mm 78a and through risers on it.

How smooth are the wheels? and do you think its possible to skate street with them? Or is it too soft? Thanks.

Wheels are extremely smooth. Getting around pebbled roads and cracked sidewalks is a breeze (I wasnt able to get through these with the 50mm PlanB wheels I had before). Ride feels like a longboard, but with a skating deck.

You can definitely feel the weight difference with the wheels compared to the 50mm ones (since these are wider and just larger overall), but I can still do kickflips and other basic tricks. Took some getting used to, but you can still do basic tricks, even with these 60mm/80a softcores.

I dont do any stair sets, grinds, or ledges, so I wouldnt be of any help there.

But yeah, wheels are amazing to skate on, at least for what I want them for.
