View Full Version : My planz.

I've finally worked out a deal with my parents.

1) Sell trumpet (if I polish it up and recondition the slides, I'll hopefully be able to get $100-$130 or so for it.) and have my parents put the money away for Christmas.

2) My parents will then combine Christmas money with the trumpet money to get me this (http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-Artcore-Ser-Hollowbody-without-Tremolo?sku=519527&src=3WFRWXX&ZYXSEM=0&CAWELAID=33305140). I might have to add on some money depending on whether or not my mom has a job by then.

3) Learn on the beginner bass while saving up some money (this will include birthday money, which should make it easier), then about six months later, sell that bass, add the money on to what I saved up, and buy this (http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-Stiletto-Custom4-Bass?sku=513049) beauty:

$100 less than the Elite, and still more than good enough. Does this sound like a good plan?

How is natural better than vampyre red satin? I think they're about equal, but it's based on whether you want a dark bass or a light bass.

the white one looks cooler
unless your gonna play in a gay high school metal band.

Bass got boring after a year of playing it for me. Natural wins though.

yes it does. and learn slapbass, it's so cool.

im sure in most countries, its a crime to choose that gross ass red over the natural. if you do, i will be very disappointed. can you live with that? knowing youve disappointed me so?

Fine, I'll get natural. I guess I like the vampyre red because it reminds me of the Stiletto Elite black cherry the most, and that's the bass I was originally gunning for.

Get what you want, don't get what other people want. Imo the natural looks like ass.

Hell, if I have a job, I might just splurge the extra $100 for the Elite. Neck-through construction is more stable, anyway.
