it's not a big difference.
I started using a 7.5 and shit, every time I do a varial flip, I fall off the back or land primo. but all these people I know who use freaking 8.75 decks is just insane.. one of my mates even got a decommissioned arcraft carrier and is ringing jessup and independent trucks to make a custom order.

Yeah the Arizona Class Battle ship I ride for pools freaking rocks! Yeah bigger boards are much better. I ride 7.9-8.125 for park and street, and 8.25-8.5 for pool and vert. More room, more control, more speed=MORE FUN! you will get used to the size and it will feel great. I gave my bud a 8 inch deck and he had been riding 7.6 for a year or more. He bitched the whole sesh about how weird it felt. The next day he landed tre's up a 1.5 ft high 3 ft long euro gap 8/10 times. He's hooked.

Big boards(8-up) are the bomb you have great stability for tranny and bombing hills and you have tons of space to land tricks and it actually makes you learn to do your flip tricks better.

easier to land tricks, more room to set up, more ballance, flip tricks look better, and they feel better IMO get an 8, you wont be disapointed.
