View Full Version : My Element broke! :(

I've had this board for about a month, and it broke today. (Red/Blk Brent Atchley 7.5 Board) (I'm 5'9" and weight 150) I was jumping a pretty big 6 foot high drop, and the board's tail snaps when I land. I landed fine, and the board was pretty new... and it cracked through the first 4 layers of the wood.

I've heard people say that Element's break easily, but I never believed them until now. What's a GOOD/STRONG board company?

I've heard Habitat, AWS, and Toy Machines were built like tanks.

My Real is a beast.

And I'm sure Krooked and Anti Hero are too.

I'm not surprised. When you buy an Element you are agreeing to buying a new board within 2 months.

I found a deal of 5 good blanks for $45. I think I'm just gonna go with that.

get an almost impact. they will live up to your drop skating standards. i had one and it broke around 3 months later because i focused it, not from natural skating.

yeah Element is about as strong as three day old dog shit. Try the Almost they do do rock for big drops, or Anti Hero and Black Label as well.

Dunno if this is just local or whatever, but Good Woods are REALLY good. They sell them at Zumiez, and as much as I hate Zumiez, I love the board. There's a specific brand of them, that's like.. $40 and it has a ply of Bamboo in it and it makes it pretty strong.

I like them, and the pop doesn't go away for a while at least.
