I'm stupid when it comes to wheels, and I've got a set of 54mm and 52mm wheels both brand new and I'm wondering what the benefits of riding one or the other would be.

i like 50mms. honestly, i like smaller wheels, i don't know why, i just can focus more if i can feel the ground and not feel like i'm riding on air.

I usually ride 51-53.
Usually 52s.
Why? Idk, but I dont really feel that much of a difference on 54s

i personally prefer 53mm's. And I skate street mostly, so the smallest size for less wheel bite. Take the 52's.

do you think 52-53 are okay for an indoor skatepark?
these aren't blank wheels are they?
because which ever one looks dopest, those are the ones you're going to feel the best riding.
that's the only difference you're going to feel between 54 and 52 mm.

52mm wheels are much thinner than 54mm ones. 52's are good in that way, because they're lighter, and the physics of the board allow you to engage in a "kick-flip" easier.
plus when the 54's become chode wheels, you wont wanna ride em, but 52's become chode's alot slower.
trust me, you want 52's.

alright I just remembered that I got to give my friend something for his birthday which was about two months ago, and I like the 52mm better, they're spitfire hardlines, so I'm giving away the 54mms problem solved!

52 ftw. They are lighter. Especially bones because Ride the Sky has some and he has had them for almost a year and they ar just starting to wear down.

wow.
you'll get used to either size within half of an hour. it really does not matter when deciding between 2 millimeters

I'm told 54s are for vert and more ramp stuff, and 52s are more for street skating, i ride 51-53

hahaha no.
I know a homie who could skate street like a madman, rides 60mm Old school wheels.
65-70 is vert really.
52 is perfect for anything.
52mm is the way to stay.

^^thats right. rubber bands around your bearings cant ever go wrong.

Just skate the 54's. It'll last longer and eventually it will go smaller so might as well have wheels that will last longer.

52's are fine, really, there's no difference until you get to 56mm.
