hey guys well i need to clean my reds cuz i got a pair of bones swiss and by the way they are awesome! But anyways i dont want to have to run to the store to buy something to clean. Something that most people have in the house. Can i clean them by putting like warm water in a bowl put my bearings in and mix like dawn soap. How about using vinegar? if i can how should i clean them. Give me what u clean ur bearings with and tell me step by step on what to do. Thanks

You can use paint thinner, brake cleaner, or even dishwasher detergent then use bones speed cream or tri flo to lube them if you want(Lube is optional).

WD-40 is a big noononononono....anything you use with water will rust your bearings...you may as well get new bearings...Vinegar is not citrus based.....but you can use nail polish remover...just make suer that the alcohol:water ratio is almost 1:0

WD-40 is water based, so it has significant amounts of water in it, just enough to rust and ruin your bearings...

i would say you could use it...but are you sure you dont have any brake cleaner or engine degreaser in your garage?...go check and if you do, you can use those, no problem.....if you dont, then i'd say go ahead with the nail polish remover...but somebody else wanna chime in and say whether or not nail polish is a good to go or a no no?

fingernail polish remover works well, just drop the barrings in, and then spin a few times, then let dry, then put in lube
