ok well i skated my brand new 7.5 for like 1 week and i was good on it. I was wearing size 10 shoes when i would skate it though. Then i went to virginia for a week and over there i got some size 10.5 fallen chiefs. So when i got back i put on my chiefs and i got my board and all of a sudden i couldn't kickflip as consistent as i could. And i couldn't ollie as high and the board just felt really small. I wasnt' getting and close to heelflips as i was before with my size 10 shoes. So does size really matter or did not skating for a week just screw me up.

It could be either... do you still have your size 10's? If you still have them throw em on and try skating again, or if it was not skating that messed you up just practice a lot and you'll catch back up pretty quickly

new shoes affect your skating, are your feet size 10.5, cause if the shoes dont fit that could be throwing you off. And new shoes typically mess you up for a day or so.

What I do is, when my current shoes start ripping, I buy a new pair and use them for walking while im skating the other shoes. That way I can break the new ones in before I rip them.
Break your shoes in by walking, not skating, so you know that they will always skate good, from the point that you begin skating them until the point that they are destroyed.

Maybe there's too much room in your shoes when you put them on.

(see's joke has already been used up) damn....
maybe coz u didnt skatte in Virginia and your shoes are new, so you're out of it. I got a mate who'se 24 and rides 7.5's with size 12 shoes. everyone did that in the '90s in Sydney. maybe ride a larger board next though, since yo're uncomfortable on it. or take risers off if you got em on. that makes it closer to the ground so it feels more stable though its narrower (if that makes any sense).
