9 ply is a little thick id say too heavy

Buy it. Then see if it's too heavy, BUT DON'T SCRATCH THE BOARD ANYWHERE WHEN YOU SEE IF IT'S TOO HEAVY. Cause if it is too heavy, then you could sell the board brand new (basically) to some kid for $30 or so. Then you could buy a lighter blank deck somewhere else. If it isn't too heavy then keep it and have fun with it :P
