When I first did this I burnt my hands because my thread wasn't 100% cotton, so make sure it doesn't contain polyester.

I think you can use any kind of lighter fluid. I would recommend the one he used, but I used Zippo lighter fluid. The only difference is that the Zippo fluid made it hotter.

It's easier to make a cup with your hand and let the lighter fluid gas collect in your hand and light that.

If you mess up the only burn I think you will get is like a cigarette burn... u know like those yellow marks.

omg. jsut did it, and it is AWESOME. Exept i had charcoal fluid, and it burned hotter so i could only hold it for about 10 seconds switching hands really fast before it hurt.

its so fun to do, just make sure it's 100% cotton for string and shirt, and I would use the same lighter fluid as he used. And you can make them as big/small as you want ;)
