okay let me explain first.

-My first deck was a 7.5 shop deck (really light board)
--I have size 13 feet and this was waaay to small, but I did learn ollies on it. (and shuvs)

-My second deck was a 7.75 shop deck (same shop, so it was still really light)
--I could ollie 17 inches by the time I got rid of it, and do kickflips 2 or 3 out of 10. But it still felt awkward and small so I decided to get a bigger size pro deck after this.

-Now, I just got a 7.825 Plan B deck a week ago (a lot heavier than I'm used to)

MY POINT: I can now kickflip on the plab B deck like 5 or 6 out of 10, and I actually catch them, they're not mobbed. However I can only ollie like 7 inches (vs my old 17) and I have to try really hard to get it. Also it flips like a 1/4 heelflip rotation sometimes when I try to ollie and thats really annoying.

So is it becuase I'm not used to the size? (it only took a few days to adapt to the 7.75 when I got rid of the 7.5) Or because It's heavier than I'm used to?

I also tore tome muscle in my leg, that may be why, but it's still harder to ollie and pop shuv than it used to be.

HOWEVER: the 7.825 is the most comfortable I've ever had, when I'm just riding around.

bigger boards are usually heavier so that might be why. but since it's bigger, your flip tricks will be easier to catch. just get used to it. you'll eventually learn to adapt and you should ollie just as high in no time.

just get used to it. it trust me. i went from 7 to 8 once with size 9 feet. it takes some time but now i would never go back to anything smaller than 8
