I have tried pretty much every deck there is in most skateshops, and i will be listing deck descriptions here to help people with finding what theyre looking for. (i am not influincing anybody to buy any sort of product, im just going by personal opinions/descriptions. For decks i havent tried, i will use the opinions of a few other people.)
This list is subject to change/expand as i try new decks or get more information on others.
ATM: Good all around decks for good prices.
Almost: Good pop, nice shape, steep concave on moster molds, the control molds dont have that great of anything. I would only reccomend getting the monster molds. These boards dont last very long.
Alien Workshop:Their decks range from deep concave to mellow, and their boards usually last a pretty long time. Very good decks.
Anti-hero: Great shape, mellow-deep concave, a lot of pop. These boards are one of my personal favorite. very comfortable.
Black Label: Very, very strong. Fair shape and feel. All of their boards feel pretty good, but not the greatest. They are VERY tough boards though, which makes them a good choice.
Blind:I have not personally owned one of these, but ive ridden on a few. I will go by a few of my friends opinions on these decks. Blind decks are good when you get them, but lose their shape quickly and get very soggy or waterlogged feeling. They also dont last long at all.
Consolidated: Used to be all i rode until i moved up to 8 inch decks. Steep, steep concave on most deck with a TON of control. These boards have killer pop and are also very tough.
Chocolate: From what ive heard, these decks are very good all around. nice everything.
Darkstar: Ive not tried one, but i have heard they arent the best. Chip easily, and lose their shape in a few days. They usually have very nice feel to them the day you get them, as do most decks.
Enjoi: These decks feel very similar to almost boards. Id stick with the monster mold on these.
Element: Weak, fragile, shitty concave, chip to hell, no pop. I would reccomend these to anybody, even beginners.
Flip: Ive heard these decks have an awesome shape, but dont last the longest.
Foundation: Nice decks. Always a good shape, always good pop. Highly suggested.
Girl: Very nice concave and shape on these boards, although ive heard from several people they lose their shape fast or get soggy after a week.
Hollywood: I think these boards are out of buisness, but im not sure. If they are still sold, then these boards kick ass. Awesome shape and tough as nails.
Habitat: Killer boards with awesome shape and great pop. Although they are made by the same company as Alien Workshop, these decks arent very similar to each other.
Instrument:A pretty new company and not yet widespread, these decks rock. They have one of the best shapes out there, and they are tough as black labels.
Krooked: These decks are fair. Nice feel to them, and last a long time.
Mystery: Ive heard these praised as some of the best feeling decks made, but i have also heard they arent very long lasting, and chip up badly.
Real: Ive heard little about these decks, but from what i have heard, these arent very strong.
Rokenroll: Decent decks that last a good amount of time and feel decent.
Scarecrow: These decks arent very popular anymore, but they are one of my favorites. These decks are perfect as far as durability, shape, pop and concave.
Toy Machine: My favorite boards. These decks have perfect shapes and last for a decent amount of time.
World Industries: At the bottom of most peoples lists, for good reason. Shitty, rotten, terrible decks.
Zero: one of the more popular brands. These boards are tough and have nice shape, although i have heard they chip up.
Zoo York: Awesome pop and great shape. Durable as well.
