bearings question

im looking to buy reds. but there aare more expensive ones. if there more expensive does that mean that they are better? what bearings do you prefer. *not bone swiss, too expensive*

More expensive doesn't always mean they are better. Some bearings go by ABEC, and they charge more for bearings that are supposedly a higher ABEC. It's just a scam to get money from .12 China bearings.

Bones Swiss are more expensive because they are quality bearings.

Rons Rockets (www.californiabearing.com/skate.htm) Are about 25 dollars, which is cheaper than Swiss, and are much better quality than Swiss.

its ment for machinere bearings that go a 40 000 rpm . so it dosent matter get the reds

i got reds, i used to have black panthers, IMO reds are alot faster and black panters are more money. i like reds a lot.
abec doesn't really mean anything, abec 5 are faster then abec 3 and abec 7 are faster then abec 5 and so on. the higher the abec number the faster. i like reds the best anyway, they are pretty cheap and really good IMO.

It's a set of tolerances inside the bearing. It means absolutely nothing for skateboarding.

Just about all bearing companies lie about the ABEC of the bearing anyway.

reds are good, they last long and are cheap, if u buy the expsensive ones like i did, they are a lil faster and don't last as long

some companies (like bones) dont even bother with the abec system. my reds are faster and stronger then my black panthers abec 7

why not the swiss they arnt that much. my speed demons gold shields are good and i had bones red and tehy were great and had good speed
