ok, so currently i basically have a crap board. i just didnt wanna buy a nice expensive board until i knew i was gonna stick to it for awhile.

anyways, the deck i have right now is just a really old darkstar that my cousin gave me. the tain and nose are both chipped like crazy, pressure cracks everywhere, but i really like the shape of the board. ive ridden enjoi's and a flip or something. they both felt the same to me. the tail and nose of both of them felt fine, but i really didnt like the concave of the middle of the board. like when i stood, feet all the way across the board just cruising around, it made my feet wanna bow inwards if u get what im saying. the main reason i like the darkstar is because its more flat in the middle of the board. now my mom picked out my next deck, because she didnt want me to see it before christmas, but i picked out my own trucks bearings and wheels. i didnt think the deck had mch to do with it. now i realize that the shape of the deck really effects my riding. the only thing i know abot my new deck is that its an element, so i tried one out at this skatepark ive been to, and i wasnt really diggin the feel of it. i asked the guy for a deck, like ive described my darkstar as, and he said that a chocolate might fit my needs, but hes not a real experienced skater, and the better guy to ask that question was out on a break. so i ask u the same question, what deck might fit the description i gave for my darkstar.

well if you're unexperienced at skating than go with a mellow shape board like flip, AWS, etc.
If your into skating alot and wanna get high pop on ollies than go for a baker, girl, chocolate or a habitat

try to figure out what size the old dark star was. honestly i duno if any one here is going to be able to help you.
if you dont know try a 7.5 board with low concave. most people like 7.5... i like 7.75 though.

Are Enjoi boards bad? Ive never seen anything good about them on them on this site.

No, Enjoi's are great, they keep their pop when worn down all the way, and have a good concave.

thanks for all the advice. and i saw an enjoi i think at a local store that looked nice. ill measure my board right now. ok, its a 7.5. and the length is like 30.5, if that means anything. im gonna go look for a cool board on the internet right now. anyone that wants to help can. im interested in enjoi mainly, Alien WS, maybe girl, real, toy machine, or anything else u think has mellow concave.

good choices. i like 7.6 or anything around there. my favorite board length is like 31.5. 30 is too short for me.

thats the exact one i was looking at in this store i went to. exactly like that. i decided id just stick with the element im getting for christmas and get a new board in a month or so. its like a 7.5, 31 inch. or something real close to that. it feels alright. ill post the rest of my setup in a second on my sig.

Chosing Element is a bad choice. Yeah the concave is mellow, but it will become flat. The pop feels so water logged, you could barely ollie 8 inches. I suggest you get an Enjoi or Girl if you want a good board with a mellow concave.
