Good Morning,
Name here is Joe and I would like to know if anyone had any luck buying slightly used skateboards from PlayitAgainSports.
I am trying to put together a skateboard that does not cost alot. And my first idea was to buy a blank deck and get some decent used trucks from the above sports store.I've been really checking out the website blankdecks.com but they kill you on shipping costs.I really want to get something so I can show my daughter how to skate and she is so excited about it after finding out I used to skate when I was a kid.Hopefully I can find something that will not break me this Christmas holiday.Oh Yeah, I used to skate on a flat board and these concave boards kinda confuse me a bit.Should I go with a medium concave like the California blank? or would Monster Steep be too concave for me?

TNX in advanced for any advise

Keep On Sk8in!
Joe

Thats good, that your encouraging your daughter.
You seem like a nice father.

I would have no clue about your situation though, I have never purchased decks or skateboard equipment off the internet.

California blanks are good all around, its nice to see you want to get your daughter into skating!

try building a skateboard at www.blankskatesupply.com
they make good boards, and from what i remember, arent too bad on shipping.

medium concave is all right; steep concave is good for technical tricks and the such. Which you wont be doing too soon :-) Trucks can last for yeears, so yeah; second hand trucks will be all right. I had a friend who had his since 1994, and just recently replaced them. (independent trucks, of course)

There alright, it really depends on how much your going to be skating. If your doing it for fun (which everyone kinda forgets sometimes) then it should be alright. If your doing it hardcore then you might need something better.
