Let Fire Fall

I'm writing an article for our school paper debating the fact that graffiti is art rather than vandalism. So, I need some graffiti artists that have meaning behind their work, and websites that tell about them. I need work that has a meaning to it that I can explain. Thanks in advance.
I need this by tonight, so if I don't get any replies I'm going to move it into Off Topic.

i would call 90% of tagging vandalism. stupid idiots who make up shitty names for them selves like "snipa" and sign everywhere suck. tagging is vandalism. writing is art. yes theres a difference.

That is what I'm trying to point out. The fact that there is more to graffiti than teenagers running around with spray paint just marking shit up.

The Banksy stuff may work, but any other ones?
I need some graffiti artists, and it'd be nice if there was an evident meaning behind one of their peices.

If your tagging on someone else's property....yea its definitley vandalism. Even if it has meaning behind it your still destroying someone else's property.

dude argue both sides!
DEFINATLY argue both sides!
i'm all for graf, but i'm also totally against it! i love GOOD graf, but i HATE shit tags!
i think one of the best points for you to argue is that there's more to graf that just 12 year old kids doing tags!
i'd also mention that there are lots of free wall exebitions these days!

That's what I'm doing. I'm pointing out that a lot of it is vandalism, but this is done by punk teenagers that have ruined the name of graffiti. Then I'm going to talk about the artistic side of it and true graffiti artists. My intention is to try and break the typical stereotype of graffiti (just some punk kids running around with spray paint).

Also, i'd probably say how there's more to graf than just text done in a weird way, there's SO much more to it.
hell, you could even touch on airbrushing if you got REALLY desperate!

In my short article I didn't even mention lettering graffiti. I'm gonna try to develop it into a longer article (500 words). I have a kickass idea to start it off.

i think it is both, no matter how pretty it is when you mark on others propety it is vandalsim no buts about it. but that doesn't neccesaryly mean it isn't artwork, some graffti is awesome other suck. so it both really, and sorry i could put a useful input.

Yea, I had trouble condensing everything into 150 for my intro article (I had like 200 or something).
