more RAM?You could always get high speed internet just search the yellow pages i found a very fast one for $32.00 a month so i asked my parents and they said yes.
Well, you can overclock it (check google because I'm not a hardware guy) which basicly means speading up your processor time.
and
Try installing adaware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
It will take off a lot of the spyware crap that slows down net connection like crazy.

Audio skater says more RAM is the answer to everything... he's wrong.
what're your pc specs?
i would recomend running disc cleanups, diagnostics, and defrags etc just clean it up, make sure that everything is in a logical order.
if you don't know what over clocking is already, i don't suggest you try do it, as long as you can get into your bios you should be able to do it, but i know several kids who've tried doing that, and have ended up completely frying their CPU.

^RAM can never hurt...and you will see a difference, but its not free like Emerica_Kid wants.

dude, most people have more RAM than they need!
i had 1.5GB DDR RAM, and i didn't need a whole stick of it!
i traded it for a new graphics card in the end...
but seirously most people have enough RAM, but have fucked everything else over.
without knowing his specs we can't know anything, so all i can suggest is diagnostics and defrags.
Great input Vivica. I agree with everything you said, but he should deffinitly also try spyware removal progs (Spy Sweeper and Adware). Also make sure you have a good antivirus program running. Might have a worm, although it's not likely.
Oh, and you might have too many programs running when you startup.
Emerica_kid post you specs!

make sure you have at least 2 gigs of disk space or it will slow down alot. also once in awhile delete your cookies and temp internet files

2 gigs is how much YOU specificly need, but without Emerica_kid's specs we have no way of knowning a reasonable amount of free disk space he would need in order to have a faster computing experience.
