My favorite thing to do on acoustic is figure out songs that aren't acoustic, and arrange them so they sound good on acoustic guitar. If you're just starting out, you don't have to do anything too crazy, just look at the tab and change the chords you see to open chords. Take out some of the crazy solo stuff that you can't reach on your acoustic(if there is any), and you're set. I dunno, just an idea.

If not try some of Saves the Day's acoustic stuff. I mean the older stuff, not the new shit...try some stuff off the album I'm Sorry I'm Leaving. You probably aren't into stuff like that but it's easy to play, and tabs are readily available.

Nirvana songs are really easy to play, and I would definitely recommend Hole/Neil Young/Radiohead.

im kind of new. i started like 2 years ago, but took like a year break at least. when i took the break, i could only play like 3 super easy chords and first 3 strings. but thats when i used sheet music. now that i like to use tab, i can play more stuff becauses its easier to know where to put your fingers. ill try some of those songs tonight. thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate it.

A great accoustic song that sounds amazing and isn't too hard... Red House Painters' song called "Have You Forgotten".

Minor threat, "good guys"

the song itself is damn catchy. the acoustic seems fairly easy.
