Why does it matter what board?

Everyone seems to judge your skills by the board you have, yet if Tony Hawk walked into walmart and bought a walmart board then everyone would have a walmart board, I dont fuckin understand. I skate on an off brand board that nobodys ever heard of called Maple, and my neighbors got a pro board. I can skate just as well and just as many places as he does with my off brand. So why the hell do we judge?

I wouldn't get a Wal-Mart board ebcuase Tony Hawk skated one. I only skate Habitat. I do it ebcuase I like the team, the board has a perfect shape for me, they're good boards and I support companys that I like.

See thats how I feel, I'll admit it I started on a WalMart and now I skate a Maple, youve prolly never heard of that but it rolls better than by neighbors pro board, so what the heck i skate just as good as he does and my board cost about 40 bucks less

who are you calling we?? the only ones that do shite like that are posers.i dont judge anyone on the type of board they like to skate,its all personal preference.like me,i skate foundation till death.but my friends hate em because they dont like the way they feel.you should only judge someone on their personality.not the type of boards they like.so just tell whoever does that shite to you to fook off.

sorry about the we thing, but at my high school (im a sophmore) everyone skates eather a baker, flip or element.....and i skate a maple just as good as they do and my boards 40 bucks less, so they give me shit....but who cares f*** em because ill skate my maple till it breaks then ill get a new one, and they can kiss my a$$

ive heard of maple before, i think they used to be in CCS. anyway people who judge u by ur board are gay who cares wut u ride, its the tricks u can do, how long u have been skating, and the effort u put into it.
