Im looking for a 2nd guitar (I have Epi LP100). I was planning for a jackson JS King V, but I backed out. Im playing prog and power metal a fair bit and my les paul is getting hard to cater for. They arn't major guitar so my 15 watter is going okay, I has extra pedals/stomp boxes blah blah.
Im also not sure with Floyd Rose Systems.

Its all coming down to

Ltd M-100 FM
Ltd M-50 T
Schecter Omen Extreme FR
Schecter Omen Extreme (Tune-o-matic bridge)
Ibanez RG321MH
Olp Petrucci

All roughly the same price. Maybe I should pick something completely different and I have played just about everything. Am I at the stage where I should start chosing by looks?

im not a big fan of the low end ltd's and ive never tried the olp, but the ibanez and schecter are amazing guitars. however, its not a very big jump from lp100 to either of those two so i'd get a new amp if i were you. something in the 30-50 watt area so that you can jam with friends or start a band if need be.

but if you're really set on getting a guitar instead of amp, then i'd go with the RG. but even if you get the schecter, you're still getting a great guitar.
