alright i need to clean my bearings, but i have no speed cream. the note on how to clean bones reds says to put on a a citrus based solvent or something like that, then put speed cream on. do I have to put speed cream on?if i do i got this small bearing lube from a pack of fkd bearings, that some guy gave me.

and what type of citrus based solvent do you all use?

Take the shields off. Then soak the rest in paint thinner over night. In the morning dry and clean off put speed cream last then put the shields back on. Your done.

if you don't have lube , i recommend not to clean em ... cuz when you clean them you take the lube off. So even though they might skate well the first few days they are gonna get worse quicker...

alright so i put the bearing in paint thinner for like 15-20 minutes, blew air, and dried them as i took them out, then i put the lube from the FKD bearing pack that a guy gave me(since i didnt have speed cream) and now my bearing a soo fast. so yea it worked..but i have to get some speed cream for the next time

honestly, speed cream fucking sucks. i used it, and it seriously slowed my bearings down... the best thing ive ever done to keep my bearings fast is not clean them or mess with them at all.

so you just skate them and dont clean them what so ever, and just buy new ones when they suck?did you use anything like paint thinner?because awhile ago i just used lube, and it slowed mine down too, but since i soaked them in the paint thinner then lubed them, there a lot better.

Dummy did you read the instructions. It says they will appear to be slower at first but after you break in the lube they are even faster. God learn to read.

yeah it makes em' go slower for a day or two, but is better for you bearings in the long run. Unless you lubed them without cleaning them, in which case makes your bearings worse.

no mine never suck. the only time they sucked is when i used lube and tried to "clean them"

I dont clean my bearings at all. I just buy new reds when I need them since they are cheap.

if you dont lube them they may lock up on you, and you dont want that. the guy who said "speed cream sucks" is inaccurate, its actually very good, as is rockin rons propellant.
