decks?

Why is it some decks feel realy smooth and nice on the graphic side when they are old and worn boards? and why do some boards look more curved and pointy at the nose and tail than others when they are new?

they may get razor tail. which changes the shape. but it does feel smoother to the hand but do slide as well
