katrina.... FEMA couldn't help?

on friday morning my cousins grandfather was told to go to flordia to take someone's job while they went to new orleans.. both of them are high up guys for FEMA. they knew it was gonna be a class 5 and they were expecting it to wipe out the city, Bush... wouldn't/couldn't give them the manpower to move the people out then. he practically LET those people die. the population was pretty much poor black people... right? and now.. say this was a different city full of upperclass white people, do you think Bush would have done the same? he didn't even go to the scene of the disaster like other presidents do, he was on vacation or something.
the guy who's getting all the shit, the head guy for FEMA... was appointed by Bush. i think he's just taking the blame, to save Bush.
not to mention that we have like no national guard becuase they're all in fucking iraq.

so.. when's Bush gonna get assassinated?

no, i'm saying WE can't do enough becuase of the fucking war. we don't have the manpower. THAT'S why FEMA can't help. and i blame Bush for that. we could have gotten more people out ahead of time.. but didn't have enough national guard.

Yes it is bush's fault i am getting so tired of explaining this all the time to brain washed republicans.Your first question what could he have done? he could have gotten everybody out of the city, or get as many people out as possible. The national hurricane center said more than 24 hours before the storm there will be a massive loss of life in new orleans. But the president ignored it, and said if you cant get out go to the super dome. Well that also proved to be a big fuck up also. But 24 hours of time spent trying to get people out of new orlean by aircraft, buses, boats could have saved thousands of lifes. But instead they(the federal goverment) dont do shit even though the national hurricane center said the levy's will break and the city willl fill up like a bowl. Fema treated this as they do with every hurricane. They treated as if the storm were Ivan, charlie, dennis, jean, frances. This storm proved to be twice the storms they were with left fema fucked and saying we tried. Also people were rescued 5 days after the storm in the community center with no food no water and in the same clothes because the president said it was to risky trying to save them. So the army couldn't save the people because he said it was to dangerous when 3 days earlier a nbc reporter rolled up right in front of the community center to interview people. Also It is a big deal it's full of black people and the poverty people. This made the effort not as big they slacked off, imagine if this hppened to new york action would have been taken immdiately and it wouldn't have taken 5 days to rescue people. It is also bush's fault people were shooting rescue helliacopters(sp?), as stated above their shouldn't have been people in the city at all. To sum up my thoughts every one should have been evacuated from new orleans. If storm is coming striaght towards the city with sustained winds at 175 and the national hurricane center says a massive loss of life in new orleans will occur and the levy's will break and the city sits below sea level the president should have said everyone out no exceptions. But he made another terrible decision which has lead to thousands of american deaths.

It took Bush 1-3 DAYS to even figure out what to do in this situation. Plus a day or 2 to initiate his plan.

allright people you need to realize that the govenor and the mayor didnt activate the 500 school buses to pick people up. Also bush called the mayor and told them hey you gotta get people out of there but she didnt do a thing. But it also takes alot of time to get things ready so the government should of started to pack supplies up when they realized a category 5 was gonna hit new orleans. But the thugs would shoot at rescue workers trying to help diabetics who only had 4 pills left. So blame can be placed on a lot of people.
