Is anyone going to get this? After seeing the x-box 360's prices I'm totally planning on getting a Revolution. But ill have to wait to see how much the ps3 costs. I cant wait to see the Revolutions controller.

damn i was hoping for a good priced ps3:( but the revolution will have smash bros my single favorite game ever. have u seen that deal for the x-box 360 u get everything and its 2,000 lol. it says limit one per house hold like someone would buy 2 of em lol.

Yes, Im definately getting Revolution, even if they dont release any games for it. Any Nintendo game in the last 20 years for a few bucks? Amazing.

Jesus CHRIST I hate when people bring that up, "I can play the retro NES games on a next gen console!" Man, I grew up with Atari and the NES and SNES. They were great during there time, and I'm glad people loved them enough to make N64's and GC's, and XBox and whatnot, but for fuck sake, when I pay upwards of $300 for a next gen console in 2006, I DO NOT want to play games from 1985! I wanna play futuristic, 3d shit, not Super Mario Brothers. I think the Revolution will be great, but damn this whole backwards compatibility for games 20 years old.

i've always loved nintendo, but after the n64 things have slowly been going down hill, i'd get an xbox 360, it looks better in every single way!

Damn, sorry for being born right when SNES came out and getting into video games around the time of N64. There are so many good games for S/NES and I missed them. Is it wrong to want to play great games that I never got the chance to before?

Nintendo Rev might have a touchscreen controller, Ps3 is gonna be $399 but its gonna have better graphics than xbox360 and i imagine a better selection of better game Ps3 is the way to go.

There's nothing wrong with that, I suppose, but since I was born in the NES era, had the original with Super Mario and Duck Hunt, now all these new game systems are coming out, I just don't see the reason to go back and play those. I really don't see myself paying good money for a Revolution so I can play "Zelda: A Link to the Past", you know what I mean?

True, the original game systems, Atari, NES, etc., paved the way for what we have now, and we all owe them for that, but I just don't feel I owe them enough to go back to when I was 5 with the old light gun and pick off clay targets.

Haha, thats hilarious, seeing as how no screen shots of 360 in action have been released yet. Only the dev kits running on computers.

Anyways, this is a Revolution thread, not PS3 or Xbox 360. With a bit of saving, I'll probably get all three. Limiting yourself to just one is dumb as hell, and if your excuse is "oh no I dont have enough money", then Revolution is your best bet. Like I said before, even if they release zero games for it, you'll still have HUNDREDS of games to choose from for a few dollars apiece. I know that by the way some of you kids type, you can't be older than 14 and therefore missed so many classic Nintendo games, so the "omg i dont want to play old games theyre lame" excuse doesn't work either.

dude if you did any research on the next gen consols you would know that the ps3 has twice the graphics power of the xbox360, and it has 30 times the power of a ps2. its all on the channel G4. you may be able to find out more about it on www.G4tv.com , that might not be the exact site but it a start.

it's really hard to write code for a multiple gpu system, I can't remember the number off hand, but I think the ps3 had something like 9 -- it's hard to find games for the pc that can take advantage of 2.

Nintendo is basically burying themselves in a pile of sh#t with this console. It looks awful, externally (esp. compared to the others) and internally; it is the least powerful of all three consoles. They're promo for this thing is "You can pay a bunch of money, so you can play cheap, old games!"....... /:-S That is a load of crap. I love the old stuff, but put it next to Halo 3 or Killzone 2, and I'll gladly forget about Nintendo. Mark me, Nintendo will be out of business within the next 10-15 years.:(
