ive had an Enjoi. i liked it for about a week then the concave went flat and it was poop.

i currently have a Heath Kirchart AWS and its been pretty good. But a few days ago i tried my friends Baker and i found it also very good. But it was pretty new and not beat up.

I never skated a Baker, but my AWS was nice. It had good, lasting pop and was very durable, it did chip pretty easy though.

Alien Workshop uses better wood than Baker. Plus, badass graphics.

Not to mention the decent shape, bakers are shaped HORRIBLE and go flat pretty quickly.

where do people get this horrible shape idea about bakers. its only an opinion, many people i know love the baker shape and so do i, a board having a bad shape is all in your head.

You know why people say they shape with baker is fucked? BECAUSE IT IS. I'm sure its possible to get used to the horrible shape of the deck but a lot of people don't want to take the time to do that. Why acclimate yourself to a new inferior deck shape when you can just keep riding what you have been?

i guess it's just a personal thing because i love the baker shape.

We weren't debating weather you love it or not, we were debating on weather the shape that you love is considered "weird" by a majority of the skateboarding community.

ZipZinger

And I gauruntee you the Baker team has different and better shapes that they prefer to use.

idk. because i know a lot of people that like bakers a lot. and i know people who don't. i've only skated Andrew Reynolds pro model Baker decks which seem to have a nice shape. but i know the the red and white Baker logo deck is usually the one people say has a bad shape.

As I stated before, I'm sure its fine once you get used to it, but who wants to spend time getting used to a new shape when a majority of boards have the shape your used to?

ZipZinger

It's mostly a lot of people that think Reynolds and Dollin and all them are gnar so they decks must be gnar and if the board feels weird it must be their problem. So in essence, it's all in their head.

I call it "the baked on baker effect"

Word Life

yeah because to tell the truth i only started getting bakers because the people on the team are sick skaters. and then overtime i started getting used to bakers and i didn't even notice that bakers supposedly have a weird shape.
