it depends on what board you ride. if you ride 7.5 then i wouldn't go to 8. you could go to 7.75 though.

if the rest of the board has good name brand products then buy it. Get a good deal. If no then screw it, stick with what you got.

I wear a size 10.5 shoe and the only reason I havent stepped up to an 8.25 is because I like a perfectly matched setup with 139's. It takes like two weeks to get copletely used to it and for the first few days it feels huge but after you get over that you'll wonder how you ever rode a smaller board, I find that control is easier because theres more room to land on the board and because its bigger theres more concave.

are they hard to control?

HAARD TO CONTROL!?!?! thats one of the best things about big booards there EASYER to control, and the whole hard to flip thing is bull i went from an 8 to 8.5 in one day and it took me that day to get used to it, ive sized down to an 8-8.25 and inbetween but you can flip it just as easy. UNless you have it in your head that u cant, cuz ur not goin anyware nomatter wat board it is with stuff in your head. GET IT RIP IT

yea im a 10.5 and i ride 7.8,before that i rode 7.5, bigger boards are a little harder to flip, but they are definatly easier to handle and land tricks
