say you get a sequence like 3,6,9,12 and a question asks what is the next number.then theres usually a question like work out the nth term and ive forgot what nth term is so i definitely dont know how to work it out.if any of you actually know how to work out the nth term of any sequence please tell me.

nth is just an arbitrary number like the 5th term in the sequence 3 6 9 12 15 is 15, the nth is 3*n. so plugging in 8 for n we get the 8th term is 24.
