Front shove Reverts
Let me start off by saying that this is a very awkward trick to learn.
You definently need to have good frontside pop shove its. Your fs shoves
should be able to pop at least a few inches off the ground before learning these.
What happens in this trick is you do a Frontside shove it and you revert back like a nollie fs 180.
Got it? Sounds complicated but it's not, I'll keep it short and sweet so let's get to it.
Setup
The setup for this trick is essintially the same as a normal fs shove.
The only difference is when I do these I move my front foot up near the
front bolts more.
Execution
Alright the beginning of this trick as I said above is really awkward,
what you're going to want to do is start off by doing a normal fs shove,
and right before you pop, you need to start turning your shoulders backside,
I know it sounds confusing but you basically need to turn your head and
shoulders back facing behind you. This is why you need to be really
good at fs shoves, because you're going to be doing one blind right here
you wont be able to see the board spinning so you need to be good at predicting
where they're going to land. So anyway your going to catch the fs shove early.
You want the board to have spun about 150-170 degrees, probably not the
full 180, the further the board spins the harder it will be to revert just remember
that. You may even want to learn them with the board going only 90 degrees.
When you catch it at however far you let it spin, catch the board kind of like
your doing a nose manual, or at least in nollie position.
The Revert
This is the hardest part of the trick. Once you land in nollie position keep the pressure
on your front trucks, keeping your back trucks just barely touching the ground. Your shoulders
should already be turning backside if you turned backwards earlier in the trick. All you have
to do is let the rest of your body follow suit, paying special attention to your hips. Make sure
they whip around nice and hard. To complete this trick all you have to do is finish the revert
and you'll be riding away switch.
Problems.
My back foot's not catching on the revert part.
Im pretty sure you can solve this by turning your lower body faster,
or catching the fs shove later. Let it rotate more.
I can catch the board but I can't revert.
Most likely you're not looking backwards when you start the fs shove,
I feel that this is very important in landing this trick. Just turn
backside.
