Fingerflips are a generally easy trick once you have the hang of them. It it easiest to learn them from the "tail stop" position. The basic setup is: back foot on the edge of the tail and front foot around the middle or maybe a little further back on the board. These can be done with your hand on the toe or heel side of the nose and can flip both ways. The normal fingerflip hand position is on the toe side of the nose. (Refer to the video) Once in position, you need to simultaneously jump from a crouching position and flip the board with your hand. Practice just flipping the board with your hand and from the "tail stop" position (with tail touching the ground and nose in the air) and then try it rolling.
A finger flip is a pretty cool trick if done right. It's a toe side or heelside spin that is flipped with your hand. You should know what a tailstop and tailblock slide is. A tailstop is where The tail of that board is touching the ground and the nose is in the air. A tailblock slide is where you do this moving and your front hand is grabbing the nose.
How to do it:
1. Get into a tailstop and keep your front foot closer to the tail.
2. Grab the nose with one hand, thumb on the griptape fingers underneath.
3. Jump as high as you can in the same position and try to flick the board either a heelflip or a kickflip with your finger muscles.
4. Land it
Now you got this down, try it quick pop where your rolling and pop the board real quick and flip it.
Other variations:
Double fingerflip
Varial fingerflip
Ollie finger flip...etc
