The DVS Munition

Well, the DVS Shoe Company has done it again. They always seem to create durable, stylish, and overall great shoes. All of these qualities come with the Munition, a relativly new creating of DVS.
Features of this shoe:
- Bruise control heel padding
- Triple stiched toe cap
- EVA midsole
- Oliie area lace protection
- Flexible rubber cupsole
- Suede and synthetic material
Style/Looks
In my opinion, this is one of the best looking skate shoes out there. The colorway that I have, (Black/Black/White) looks very classy yet stylish and good. It fits ANY style of jean, shorts, or even capris or a skirt. I really can't put into words how much I like the look of this particular shoe. Enough said.

Durability
The DVS Munitions are pretty durable. I have been skating them for around 3 months and they only have a few holes on the side and toe cap. The toe of the sole of the shoe is starting to come out however. The heel is still very well shaped and not faded or worn at all. The most worn section of the shoe would have to be the upper side near the tounge. There is a rather large hole and is a bit irritating when skating. The lace protection wore out in about a month, but it served its purpose non the less. This may make no sense, but the laces that came with the shoe took about a month to rip. Usually laces last me about a week at the most without shoe goo. That is probobly not important to you, but I was just astonished at the fact. The insole is still as in good condition as the day it came. Overall, the DVS Munition is basicly a fairly durable shoe. The quality of the shoe is worth the time of having them.

Grip
The grip on these shoes is just to my liking. I have never slid my foot too far off the board making me do an ollie north. Nor have I ever gotten caught up on one of my 360 flips or kickflips with these shoes. The toe cap is leather, and the rest of the shoe is suede. In my opinion, this is a very smart idea because the leather gives the toe cap more durability, and the suede offsets the leather very nicely, enabling the skater to still get a nice drag and flick on any given trick. With this shoe, I seem to get higher ollies than I do with my Fallen Patriots and eS Square Ones. Overall, the grip on the DVS Munition is VERY good. It is grippy and slick at the same time making a sick skate shoe.

Boardfeel
The boardfeel on this shoe, like most DVS non vulcanized shoes, is very good. You can feel the slope of the board and the concave when skating these. If you were walking down the street, and you stepped on a pebble, you would be able to feel it, but it would not hurt. That is a good thing in my opinion. For a shoe that is not vulcanized, the Munition has great boardfeel. You can feel the board being flicked on a trick such as a kickflip. The feeling of that alone is enough to persuade me to buy this shoe. In my opinion, boardfeel is very important when trying a large set or gap. If you do not have a shoe with good boardfeel when trying gaps or sets, than you will not be able to detect what is happening underneath you as well, therefore losing board control. Overall, the boardfeel of this shoe is very solid and sufficient.
Padding
The padding for the Munition is great. The bruise control in the heel greatly helps when trying a fairly large gap or set. I rarely get any bruises on my feet. My heels never hurt after a long day of skating. The insole of the shoe is very padded and squishy. The tounge is also very padded. The top of my foot never hurts after a long skate session. Whenever I roll my ankle, it seems to not hurt as much with this shoe as with other shoes that I have experienced. The side of the shoe is padded enough to not rip or tear enough, but thin enough not to take away any boardfeel. The DVS Munition has an overall great padding system.

Overall
The Munition is an amazing shoe to any type of skater. It does not matter wheather you are into flatground tech, or sets, or rails. This is the shoe for you. The cost is 65 dollars but as with all shoes you can get them cheaper if you know where to look. I got mine for 50 dollars at Eastern Boarder.
