Respect For Your Local Skatepark
By BakerForLife at 2010-10-28 23:19

Respect For Your Local Skatepark

Reality is not everyone is lucky enough to have one. Whether you like skating yours or not, realize there were people that at least cared enough in making an attempt to support what you love doing. Unfortunately, another reality is some local parks close due to vandalism, and general mistreatment. Then where are the kids supposed to skate? Sure, street spots are an option, but you always run the risk of getting kicked out. Your local park is, and always will be a place to skate if all else fails.

Skatepark Atmosphere

Skatepark Atmosphere

Whether we are consciously aware of it or not, every skatepark you go to has a different atmosphere to it. No, I'm not literally talking about the gaseous envelope surrounding the park, but the vibes you feel when skating the park.

Let's face it. With every skatepark being located somewhere else around the world, expect nothing less than a different vibe to the last park you went to. There's many things that contribute to making a skatepark atmosphere.

Where's The Fun?
By BakerForLife at 2010-10-28 23:15

Where's The Fun?

Why do I skate? A question that seems to have no simple answer for this generation of skateboarders.

Within the past couple of years, the fun in skateboarding is vaguely seen anywhere you look. Whether it be in a Youtube montage, a professional skate video, a movie, or those dumb MTV shows.

Nowadays it seems people just demand more and more tricks from pros, or themselves. Sure it's always cool to see progression, and see what can be physically done on a skateboard. Everyone knows it feels good to learn a new trick, and become an overall better skater. What's your reasoning behind it all though? Money? Respect? Sponsorship? Bragging rights?

Krooked is actually blowing it?!?!?!
By gsosa at 2010-10-19 17:58

Okay, first of all let me start by saying that Krooked is my favorite company, (Tied with Real,)They have great graphics, great boards, a great team, their videos fucking kick ass, and they are all about having fun on a board, and their videos reflect that. I'm also super fucking hyped on the Krook3d video which and I already viewed the trailers with my Krook3d glasses that came with my Mike Anderson board and was super stoked. Once again what gets me even more hyped about this video is that it is not going to be divided into individual parts but it is going to be divided into city segments, so it is going to be like just a bunch of sessions of some amazing skaters having fun skating around some amazing cities. Perfect company right?
